Reports increase in the immigrant community about babies and small children disappearing and returning drained of blood. These attacks supposedly began a few weeks ago, according to a local Hooverville member, starting with full grown members of their communities. One can only assume that who (or what!) is responsible for these tragedies has decided upon easier prey.
Theories abound about the reasoning for why these deaths and disappearances are occurring. The most popular at the moment being that the Devil has come for his due, given the recent rise in occult activity in town. Rumors regarding the abandoned St. Michaels places claim that an active cult is using it for their headquarters.
Police have done little to address the issue, claiming hysteria is no reason to believe that anything is going on and that these claims are more likely a con in an attempt to prey off the compassion of the better off. Given the reputation of our delightful police force as well as the immigration community (who make up the bulk of our vagabonds) it is difficult to know just who is telling the truth. Perhaps it would behoove even the best of us to maintain diligent watch over our most helpless.
