Oct. 4 - A trackless trolley bus left the trolley wire at Fairmount and Daniels street last night about 6 o'clock when the operator headed the vehicle down Daniels street instead of turning left onto Fairmount street. Despite the protestations of the operator about 150 children gathered around the bus and pushed it up Daniels street into a position so that the trolley take-up could be connected with the trolley line.
During the past week while Oak Hill road was closed between River and Fairmount streets gasoline buses were used and these followed a new route up Daniels street.
The trackless trolley buses were restored to service in Cleghorn last week and it is believed that the operator of the trackless trolley forgot that he was not operating a gasoline bus.
