The Miskatonic River bisects Arkham beach and has helped the city thrive since colonial times. The docks are a hub of both oceanic and continental trade. Many stout men spend their daylight hours toiling here both loading and unloading a number of ships and river barges. At night the docks are eerie and somewhat prone to long periods of unnatural silence and fog. Crime has skyrocketed here in spite of the increased levels of proactive policing.
As of March 28th, 1932 Pier 7 had been damaged by the storm, but was already in the processes of being reconstructed. It is scheduled to be opened once more by the end of May.
