The waning crescent moon paints a path of light across the choppy waters of the mighty Atlantic ocean. While gazing across the vast expanse, idle thoughts of the plethora of mysterious denizens that sleep beneath in the frozen depths fill you with a sense of wonder and perhaps a tinge of anxiety.
The cold winds blow up pearly wisps of sand into small vortexes, from time to time you have to shield your face from the tiny shimmering and stinging particles. You hear mighty waves crash against the shore bringing with them a calming rhythm that feels somewhat out of place in this time of year. Many associate the oceans pulse with summer time frivolity, not the late autumns frozen embrace. The small town city lights do not pollute and obscure the heavens as badly as perhaps a metropolis such as Boston or Bucharest, instead they blaze brightly in the December night sky. The moon and stars provide enough light to stroll by and fully enjoy the salty scented night air and the other worldly atmosphere.

"As for the Republicans — how can one regard seriously a frightened, greedy, nostalgic huddle of tradesmen and lucky idlers who shut their eyes to history and science, steel their emotions against decent human sympathy, cling to sordid and provincial ideals exalting sheer acquisitiveness and condoning artificial hardship for the non-materially-shrewd, dwell smugly and sentimentally in a distorted dream-cosmos of outmoded phrases and principles and attitudes based on the bygone agricultural-handicraft world, and revel in (consciously or unconsciously) mendacious assumptions (such as the notion that real liberty is synonymous with the single detail of unrestricted economic license or that a rational planning of resource-distribution would contravene some vague and mystical 'American heritage'…) utterly contrary to fact and without the slightest foundation in human experience? Intellectually, the Republican idea deserves the tolerance and respect one gives to the dead."-HPL
