Tiny piles of Black Sand remain from where he had emptied his shoes just days before. They were the only physical evidence left that he had departed Arkham Beach for far more distant shores... His mind found solace in this tangible keepsake of that horrific adventure. It was solid evidence that he was only half as mad as he thought he was!
