Says Legalized Beer Would Bring Relief

WASHINGTON, May 17 - (AP) If congress would legalize beer and tax it confidence would return overnight Senator Barbour, republican, New Jersey, said yesterday in the senate.

Barbour said the country wants relief in the form of a balanced budget and pointed out that in 1911 $284,000,000 was secured by taxing liquor.
